Erectile Dysfunction
Problems we treat the non-invasive way
What is Erectile Dysfunction?
The inability to obtain and maintain a strong erection for intercourse is referred to as erectile dysfunction (also known as impotence). Having erection issues now and then isn’t usually a reason for concern. However, if erectile dysfunction is a long-term condition, it can cause stress, lower self-esteem, and lead to interpersonal issues. Problems achieving or maintaining an erection can be a symptom of a more serious underlying health issue, as well as a risk factor for heart disease.
ED can be caused by problems at any moment throughout the erection process. An erection is linked to increased blood flow into your penis. Sexual thoughts or physical contact with a man’s penis are both known to increase blood flow. The muscles of the penis relax when a male is sexually aroused. This increases blood flow via the penile arteries, which fills two chambers within the penis resulting in a hardened penis. When the muscles contract and the stored blood can flow out through the penile veins, the erection comes to an end.
Only one of these causes, or a combination of them, can induce ED:
- All cardiac disorders such as diabetes, hypertension, or high blood pressure.
- Obesity and high cholesterol.
- Hormone abnormalities or low testosterone levels.
- Kidney disease.
- Age-related stress.
- Anxiety.
- Depression.
- Difficulties in relationships.
- Some prescription drugs, such as those for high blood pressure or depression.
- Substance abuse, such as drugs, excessive consumption of alcohol, smoking or tobacco products.
- Sleep disorders.
- Certain medical conditions include Parkinson’s disease or multiple sclerosis (MS).
- Damage to the pelvic area as a result of injury.
- Complications from a surgery.
- Peyronie’s disease is associated with the formation of scar tissue in the penis.
- Sexual abuse during childhood.
